Adam’s Peak, or Sri Pada as it is locally known, is a popular destination among adventurous explorers as well as Buddhist devotees. You can join the throngs of devotees in their ascent to the peak in the dark and cold hours of the night to witness the spectacular splendour of sunrise. The Knuckles Mountain Range also offers some breathtaking trails to explore. You can opt to take a day climb or choose to spend one or two nights of camping and enjoy a more intensive hiking experience.

The rock of Pidurangala which affords spectacular views of Sigiriya Rock Fortress is also explored by many. The world famous Sinharaja Forest Reserve which has an astounding array of endemic flora and fauna should also not be missed when travelling in Sri Lanka.
