They’ll whisk you away to the awaiting car or coach park, where your English-speaking chauffeur eagerly awaits to kickstart your journey according to the carefully crafted itinerary.
First stop: Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage!
About 55 miles from Colombo, nestled along the Colombo – Kandy road, lies Pinnawela. This sanctuary, established in 1975, provides a haven for abandoned and wounded elephants. Witness over 65 majestic creatures, including adorable baby elephants from various origins and those born through a successful captive breeding program.
